What happens to my passport after divorce?
Your passport remains valid after a divorce. Nothing happens to it automatically. You only need to act if you want the name on it changed.

- Do not book travel in a new name until the new passport arrives

Book tickets in the exact name on your current passport. Airlines match documents, not marital status.
Children's passports
Both parents with parental responsibility are usually involved in a child's passport application. Changing a child's surname needs consent or a court order, and taking a child abroad may need the other parent's consent.
