The HMCTS divorce fee is £628. If your income and savings are low, the Help with Fees scheme can reduce it or cover it entirely.
The two tests
- A savings and capital test, which looks at money you and any partner hold.
- An income test, which looks at monthly income and certain benefits.
What you will be asked for
- Recent bank statements or benefit award letters.
- Payslips if you are employed.
- Your National Insurance number.
What it does not cover
Help with Fees covers court fees only. It does not cover a service fee such as CalmSplit's £159, or solicitor costs.
